Parent Partnership

Younger students do not need a technical discussion of Hebrew; the main point is that the God who made all things is personal, faithful, and good.

Invite your child to name specific examples of God’s goodness rather than giving only a general answer. Examples may include food, rain, sunlight, family, friends, animals, beauty, abilities, comfort, or the gift of Scripture. Keep the discussion grounded in gratitude without implying that material comfort is the only evidence of God’s goodness.

When your child recites the verse, pause to celebrate both memory and meaning. Ask, “What does this verse teach us about God?”

Offline Learning Extensions

Goodness Walk

Take a short walk indoors, outside, or around the neighborhood. Look for five things that show God’s goodness or care. These might include a tree providing shade, an animal with food, someone helping another person, or a home providing shelter. Afterward, thank God for each observation.

Creation Mercy Collage

Draw or cut out pictures of people, animals, plants, weather, and landscapes. Arrange them around the words of Psalm 145:9 to illustrate the phrase “all His works.”

Mercy in Action

Choose one concrete act of compassion that reflects God’s tender mercy. Feed a pet, water a plant, help a sibling, write an encouraging note, or assist someone with a chore.
